An experience in Ileana's own home — a professional cook and Slow Food member — in her kitchen in Mondello, a few steps from the sea. Not a cooking school: a real Sicilian home, where you cook together and then sit down to eat.
The tradition of the marzipan Easter lamb is widespread across Sicily, but its origins lie in the Collegio di Maria in Favara, in the province of Agrigento.
At the heart of Sicilian Easter, the marzipan lamb is more than a sweet: it is a symbol of rebirth, of a peace that carries the scent of almonds. It starts from a white sugar and almond paste, whose preparation is demonstrated to guests. Then you'll shape it into a small masterpiece of sacred art, completing its adornment with a red flag and ribbon, chocolate eggs and more.
An experience that blends flavour and emotion. The lamb you prepare is stored in a fragrance-preserving pack to take home.
Children's rate: €55 per person. Available all year round, subject to ingredient availability.
