The town your family came from
A great-grandfather born in a town you may only know by name. A surname, a photograph, a story told at the table. We are a tour operator in Palermo: we help you understand what can be found, and build your Sicily trip around that place.

What we actually do
The trip built around your town
We shape the route, the transfers and the days so that your family's town is the heart of the trip, not an hour between two museums. The rest of Sicily we design around it.
Someone local beside you
When it is needed, a person from here who goes with you and translates: at the town hall, at the parish, with the people you meet. Before you leave we tell you how it works and who it will be.
The research, if you want it
If you want to look for traces of your family in the records before you travel, we bring in a local specialist in genealogical research. We explain in advance what he or she will do, what it costs, and what happens if nothing is found.
One person, start to finish
A named contact on WhatsApp before you leave and while you are here. Not a ticket number.
How it works
- 01
Tell us what you know
Even a little: a surname, the name of a town, an approximate year. Write to us on WhatsApp or fill in the trip designer.
- 02
We tell you what can be done
Honestly: whether the details are enough to search, whether it is worth starting the research before you come, what to expect and what not to.
- 03
We build the trip
Someone on our Palermo team designs the itinerary around your town and sends it within two to three working days. We refine it together until it is yours.
- 04
We are here while you travel
Your contact is on WhatsApp for the whole trip. If something changes, we have already adjusted the plan by the time you notice.
What we need from you
The more you know the better, but we can start with very little. What helps us most:
- your ancestor's full name
- the town, or at least the province
- the years of birth and death, even approximate
- the names of his or her parents
- how many of you there are and when you hope to come
The parents' names matter more than they seem to: they are what lets us rule out other people with the same name in the same registers.
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise a result. Parish and town registers from that period are not always still there: some were destroyed, some were lost in the war, some were never kept properly. Sometimes a name is in the books but cannot be tied to your family with any certainty. If we find nothing, we tell you plainly. What happens in that case we agree with you before any research begins.
What it costs
Designing the trip and receiving our proposal costs nothing. The genealogical research, if you want it, is a separate service: we give you the price in writing before you decide, and nothing starts without your go-ahead.
The questions we always get
Do I need to know the exact town?
It helps a lot, but it is not essential. A surname and a province are already a starting point: we tell you honestly whether that is enough or what is missing.
How long does the research take?
It depends on the archives and on how much you already know. We do not want to give you a number we cannot stand behind: when we look at your case we tell you realistic timing. The earlier you write the better, ideally a few months before you travel.
Do you guarantee you will find something?
No, and nobody honest can. What we can guarantee is transparency: we tell you what was searched, where, and what was found.
Is this only for people from America?
No, it is for anyone with Sicilian roots, from any country. We work in English and Italian.
Can I combine it with the rest of a Sicily trip?
Yes, that is the most natural way: the family town becomes the heart of a day, or more, and we build the rest of the trip around it.
What does it cost?
Designing the trip costs nothing. The genealogical research is a separate service, with the price given in writing before you decide.
Tell us about your town
Two lines are enough: the surname, the town, when you would like to come. We sort out the rest together.
