Four to six minutes of easy questions: who is coming, when, what you love, how fast you like to move. You will see your route on a map and an indicative cost range as you go.

A designer from our Palermo team, a person and not an algorithm, builds your itinerary day by day and sends it within two to three days, with real options and honest costs.

When the trip has a reason
A fiftieth birthday. Twenty-five years together. The first time the whole family is in the same place in a decade. The village your grandfather left in 1954. These trips carry more weight than a week away, and they are the ones we like designing most, because there is a right answer and finding it takes someone who lives here.
On roots journeys we have already done the real version: for an American family we researched their surname at the State Archive in Palermo and planned a walk in the right neighbourhood.
What a tailor-made trip costs
We do not publish a starting price, because it would not be true. Some people have us build two entire weeks, some ask for four excursions, and some have already booked everything themselves and want only the right restaurants from us. Those are different jobs and they cost different amounts. What we can tell you now is that designing the trip and receiving our proposal costs nothing, and that you see an indicative range updating on your choices while you build it.

The questions we always get
How much does it cost to have the trip designed?
Nothing. You fill in the designer, we send a complete proposal, and you decide in your own time. You only pay if you choose to travel with us.
How long until I get the proposal?
Within two to three working days. A first reply, even just a question, almost always arrives within one.
Can I change the itinerary afterwards?
Yes, as many times as it takes and at no extra cost. That is how the work goes until the trip is what you want.
Do you arrange flights and hotels too?
Hotels, transfers, drivers, guides, ferries, tickets and tables: yes. International flights no, but we build the trip around yours.
What is the minimum or maximum group size?
We work from two people up to large family groups. Above twelve the organisation changes, not the availability.
When is the best time to come?
April to June and September to October is when Sicily is at its best. August is the hardest month to do well, and we say so before you book, not after.
